These are the cheapest telephone rates that I've been able to find online. You can save 40% to 50% with these great, money saving, long distance telephone services. The easiest way to find the service that works best for your calling patterns, within your state, is to use the long distance search engine and not the links. I signed up with Unitel because they were the cheapest in Oregon, but if you're in California, check out PNG. In California, PNG's rates are 3.9¢ to 4.19¢ per minute for instate and 4.5¢ to 4.9¢ per minute out of state with 6 second billing .

Here's an interesting, little known fact about the major telephone carriers and their billing practices. If you made 10 calls on AT&T or MCI that were 1.1 minutes each, they would charge you for 20 minutes of long distance. (10 calls X 2 minutes = 20 minutes). At 5¢'s per minute, that would cost you $1.00. For those same calls, Unitel or PNG would charge you for 11 minutes (10 calls X 1.1 minutes = 11 minutes), at that same 5¢'s per minute, it would only cost you 55¢. Six second billing will save most people quite a bit of money each month.
